I believe that everybody makes sense if we take the time to understand what has shaped us.
Our innate nature, the experiences we’ve had and the ways we’ve learnt to navigate the world all influence how we think, feel and respond. When we begin to understand these influences, we often begin to see ourselves with more compassion and clarity.
Many people come to therapy believing that they are somehow failing, that they’re too anxious, emotional, or simply not coping in the way they think they should. More often than not our thoughts, feelings and behaviours have developed as understandable responses to the lives we’ve lived. Therapy can help us recognise those patterns, see ourselves differently and begin to respond to life in new ways.
